A word from the Executive Director
In my tenure of ten years at the helm of Central Harlem Senior Citizens Center, Inc., formerely Central Harlem Senior Citizens Coalition (CHSCC), it has been educational, interesting, exiting, and a challenge. I am proud to be where we are today and, many have said, CHSCC is one of the best centers in the Harlem area.
We would not be as succesful without the support of those so seldom mentioned: CHSCC Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Consultants, Instuctors, Staff, and volunteers. Every wheel needs strong spokes to assist in the movement to reach our goals. Added to this group I would like to mention a few of our community partners, with my apologies to those not mentioned: Abyssinian Development Corp, Tau Omega Chapter, AKA Sorority, The Burden Center for the Aging, Riverside Club, NANB&PW Clubs, Inc. and Hansborough Recreation Center.
Supporters and sponsors: New York City Department of Aging, City Meals-On-Wheels, Isaac H. , The New York Community Trust, Dr. Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman Foundation and numerous members and friends who support our fundraises.
Thank You,
All of us at CHSCC stand by our motto with deep commitment: "We Care"
